Partners

Back a cycle, not an ad slot

Fresh Start runs four times a year and the pamphlet stays free at every tier. Partners cover what it costs to make and send it. In return you get a credit, honestly worded, in front of people who are actively planning a produce purchase.

Named plainly. Described in our own words.

Terms

What we will and won't do

Worth reading before you enquire. Several of these have cost us money already and they aren't negotiable.

We will

  • Name you plainly on the pamphlet and the site for your cycle
  • Describe your product in our own words, accurately
  • List you in the regional guide if you supply produce locally
  • Tell participants exactly who paid for what
  • Send you the cycle's participation numbers afterwards

We won't

  • Share, sell, rent, or segment the mailing list — at any price
  • Print health claims we can't support, including yours
  • Rank paid equipment above the free options
  • Run a partner-written email to participants
  • Take money from anyone selling a supplement or a cleanse product

Why the claims rule matters to you as much as to us

The fastest way to destroy a project like this is to let a partner's marketing language into the materials. The moment the pamphlet says something a participant can't verify, the honesty that makes anyone trust us is gone — and so is the audience you paid to reach.

So the copy stays ours. You get named, described accurately, and associated with something people believe. That's the entire product.

Fit

Who this actually suits

Good fit

  • Juicer and cold-press manufacturers, especially ones with a durable-goods story rather than a subscription
  • Regional CSAs and no-spray farms wanting to be found in the two weeks before a cycle
  • Seed companies, tool libraries, and preservation-equipment makers
  • Land trusts and food-system nonprofits with a regional footprint
  • Veteran-serving organisations, given where this project came from

Poor fit

  • Supplements, powders, and anything sold as a cleanse or a detox
  • Meal-replacement and weight-loss products of any kind
  • Bottled juice brands — the point is that participants press it themselves
  • Anyone whose brief includes approval over our copy

Where the numbers stand

The next cycle is the founding one. We are not going to quote you an audience figure we haven't earned yet, and we'd be suspicious of anyone in our position who did.

What we can tell you: the founders reach an established audience through Permanent Yield and Psychedelic Vets, the cycle repeats four times a year on dates nobody has to be reminded to care about, and founding partners will be named in every pamphlet from the first one onward. If you'd rather wait and see real numbers, come back after the winter solstice and we'll show you exactly what happened.
